Signals

Signals

Here's my grandfather (left side), Harold V. Madden, working with an Army colleague doing some kind of signaling. I'm unsure about what they are doing, but I'm sure some veterans probably recognize what's going on.

Here's a photo of my grandfather, Harold V. Madden (the fellow with the cigarette in his mouth), and his Army buddies playing poker one night. Looks like fun.

Bombed Building

Another photo of my grandfather, Harold V. Madden, (very small toward the bottom of the photo) with a bombed out building in the background. Somewhere in Europe....wish I knew where.

Forest in Europe

Forest in Europe

This is a photo of my paternal grandfather, Harold V. Madden, originally from Zanesville, Ohio. He was a Lt. Colonel in the Army in charge of an Army depot just outside Lexington, Kentucky. I'm uncertain about his responsibilities and role during WWII, but he did go into Europe for a time period during the war.
