Creating Content

All registered users of OhioWarStories.org are encouraged to post content to the website. This content includes submitting blog entries, commenting to forum topics, and posting images and videos. NOTE: We are only accepting MOV, MP4, and WMV video formats at this time.

BLOG ENTRIES

  1. Enter a "Title" which best describes your entry.
  2. Enter one or more terms in the "Tags" field that are relative to your entry (these terms help us to index content).
  3. Enter your story or article in the "Body" section.
  4. Attach an Image to your entry (this is optional).

IMAGES

  1. Enter a "Title" for your image.
  2. Select "Browse" and find the location of your image you'd like to upload.
  3. Select an "Image Gallery" (this is optional).

    4. If you would like us to create a personal gallery for your images, contact us at webmaster@wosu.org and let us know what title you'd like to give your gallery.

  4. Enter one or more terms in the "Tags" field that are relative to your entry (these terms help us to index content).
  5. Enter your story or article in the "Body" section.

VIDEOS

NOTE:We are only accepting MOV, MP4, and WMV video formats at this time.

  1. Enter a "Title" for your video.
  2. Enter a file path or URL to link a video (read these instructions carefully). Or, select "Browse" and find the location of the video you'd like to upload.
  3. Enter the pixel dimensions, filesize, and playtime of the video. Depending on the video's file type, this information can be found by right-clicking on the file icon and selecting "Properties". You may need to open the file in a player (Quicktime, RealPlayer, Windows Media Player, etc., ...) to find this information. In Quicktime, under Window, choose "Show Movie Info". In Windows Media Player, right-click on the video controller and select "File: Properties".
  4. Enter one or more terms in the "Tags" field that are relative to your entry (these terms help us to index content).
  5. Enter your story or article in the "Body" section.
